You might not find me buying Trilogy next week since it was all given out for free in like ’97, but if you disregard the fact that the songs aren’t new and just look at it as a body of work, it’s a no doubter top 3 album of the year.  And now a song off that album might be my pick for video of the year.  The Weeknd and Drake redefine the term baby-makin’ music with their video for “The Zone,” some filthy, dark, hypnotic shit that somehow can only be pulled off by a pair of Canadians.

All three new tracks off Trilogy have been premiered at this point, check them out here:

Twenty Eight || Valerie || Till Dawn (Here Comes The Sun)

We’ve also got a new track that smells like one of the biggest trolls in the history of the music industry, with Ellie Goulding releasing “Bittersweet” a week after she broke up with the song’s producer, Skrillex.  It is a great, energetic track though, and we’ll just ignore that it’s off a Twilight soundtrack.

I’m also obliged to post a video that’s surfaced of the rumored Kendrick/Gaga collaboration, a version of “Bitch, Don’t Kill My Vibe” that supposedly didn’t make the album because Gaga didn’t submit her vocals in time.  Lots of people are trashing this, I’ll vote indifference.  She sings part of a hook, if I had to guess (keeping in mind that I don’t actually have the slightest clue) I’d say her team didn’t want her name on a song that she made little or no impact on.
