Rapper “Adequate Advocate” Films Music Video For His Song About A Police Standoff….While In The Middle Of A Real Life Police Standoff
Coloradoan - An aspiring teenage rapper accused of threatening his roommates with a knife was recording a music video about being surrounded by the SWAT team when a flash bang grenade went off in his Fort Collins home.
Police arrested Josh Jackson, 19, late Monday and said he faces felony menacing charges. Jackson goes by the name Adequate Advocate and, in his rap, discusses his roommates and his family. The title of the video is “police are trying to murder me as I write this.” Jackson posted a series of Facebook messages earlier in the day about the 5th Amendment, which addresses search warrants and criminal prosecutions.
“Bring the motherf—— SWAT team, special weapons and tactics, operation,” Jackson raps. “I’m not a criminal, I’m political, and right now… Oh s—! You heard the blast.”
The video ends abruptly after the grenade goes off. Police exploded several of the flash-bangs late Monday night in an effort to get Jackson to leave the single-story rental home on Duke Lane, just east of College Avenue in Midtown Fort Collins.
Love it! This is exactly what I meant the other day when I said that some of the youngsters out there are trying their best to save the rap game. First it was Twain Gotti rapping about murdering somebody in 2007 then promptly being arrested for confession to a cold case 2007 murders, now it’s Adequate Advocate filming a music video about a SWAT team standoff literally in the middle of a SWAT team standoff. It’s called being gangster and not giving a fuck, AKA, what rap was founded on in the first place. Somewhere in heaven NWA smiles. Bring the motherfucking SWAT team! Bring the special weapons and tactics! Let’s do thiAHHH fuck the SWAT team just exploded a flash bang in my mouth and now they’re kicking the absolute shit out of me. Small price to pay for repping the hood.
