It’s March Madness time, my favorite time of the year.  So to wrap up the college hoops regular season let’s take a look back at the 12 best GIFs from the blog…

Nothing better than a team going nuts after a big win and busting out the dance moves.  Pure joy.  Pure excitement.  What differentiates college from the pros.  Not to mention that leg kick move is so hot.

13) Iowa State Bullshit Dude

Nobody was more pissed about the refs hosing Iowa State in the Kansas Game than this guy.  One of the most controversial games of the season and a clear screw job.  Announcers tip-toeing around it but this fan would not be denied his shot at letting national television know how he felt about it.    Hey Musburger it’s bullshit dude, just say it, or this guy will.

12) Marquette Fan Bat

Just your everyday hoops game, couple of teams battling it out, wild bat flying around trying to bite all the Providence players.  Ho hum.  Best 6th man in the game.  Rabid bat.

11) Cranky Butler Fan

I love this guy.  Literally about to drop dead and still front and center at the Butler game in his vintage shiny sleeve jersey shirt putting the hex on motherfuckers.  Turtleneck swag off the charts.   Hey ref make a bad call at your own risk dude.  Cranky Butler Great Grandpa isn’t afraid to die right in your face.

10) Marshall Henderson Gator Chomp

Nothing like a GIF that that completely sums up a person’s entire life in one repeating 2 second clip.  This is Marshall Henderson.  Gator Chomping the crowd in the middle of the second half.  Just desperately trying to make the entire planet outside of the Ole Miss campus hate his guts.  I think he’s succeding.  Have a feeling he might make an appearance later on this list too.  Also going along with this, chucking ice at his own student section:

Just a couple of weirdos doing their student section thing big time.  Anything to get on TV.  Big ass Teletubby head, dancing like a fruitcake.  Was it worth it fellas?  You made the Barstool GIF List so I guess so.  No greater honor.

8) Flying Chest Kick Rebound

This is how you secure a rebound.  What Jay Bilas would call a grown man board.  Box out, jump, grab the ball at the highest point, and Liu Kang kick a motherfucker in the chest.  Fatality!

7) Kansas Feed Me! Bro

This cracks me up literally every single time I look at it.  You can’t look at this Kansas bro feeding himself an imaginary bowl of cereal and not laugh out loud.  It’s not possible.  Sometimes it’s just the simple things.  Nothing to really delve into here.

6) Miami Court Slap

Not so much a funny GIF as it is the most ultimate “Fuck You” I think I’ve ever seen in a college hoops game.  Remember watching this one live and the final score didn’t even justify how big a blowout it was.  Felt like a 100 point game.  Miami absolutely destroying Duke while using their own patented move right in their face.  So much symbolism.

4) Tubby Smith Dancing To Ke$ha

Almost forgot this one.  Unforgivable.  Tubby Smith breaking it down to Ke$ha after beating Wisconsin.  Moves nobody has seen since the 70s.  Like a mixture of Stomp The Yard, You Got Served, and an epileptic seizuring 70 year old man.

3) Kansas Locker Room Dance “The McLemore”

Could have sworn this was going to be #1 when it happened.  Kansas breaking it down big time.  McLemore with the hottest dance move in the country.  Adams coming out of left field.  Elijah background dancing.  White guy shirt biter trying desperately to be involed.  Withey trying desperately to not be involved.   Awesome.

2) White Boy Bench Celebrations

 

Well documented this year that this is my favorite thing in college hoops.  The scrub bench team celebration.  Guys who will never sniff the court going absolutely ham on the bench.  Love it.   Air guitars.  Imaginary bows and arrows.  Fist pumps.  Can’t get enough white boy celebrations.

The most perfect GIF of the season or maybe just in the history of college basketball in general.  Flawless.  You got every aspect.  The lunatic star player who is always in the news and always doing something blog worthy.  The relentless cocky ass taunt.  The crowd reaction.  A cast of like 10 separate characters with great facial expressions and reactions.  The old man slowly rising.  The black security guy smile.  The 5 frat bros flipping birds and ready to fist fight. The scared chicks in the background.  Perfect.  GIF of the year.
